Why we built this

A tyre distributor's business isn't a flat inventory list — it's a chain of real relationships. Stock moves from a warehouse to a distributor, from a distributor to a wholesaler, from a wholesaler to a retailer, and sometimes one tier further still, each handoff its own small transaction of trust. Yet most distributors were still tracking that chain across phone calls, paper delivery notes, and a spreadsheet that only one person really understood.

TreadChain exists to bring that whole chain onto one platform — without flattening the structure that makes it work in the first place. Every stock transfer, every order, every invoice mirrors how a real distributor and their real dealer network actually operate.

🛞

Flexible by design

TreadChain ships with a four-tier dealer hierarchy, but that's a starting point, not a ceiling — the architecture doesn't assume any fixed number of tiers.

🧩

A hierarchy of any depth

Dealer types chain onto each other however deep your real network actually goes — adding a tier means configuring a new dealer type, not re-engineering the platform.

🛂

Configurable roles & permissions

Every action — request, approve, dispatch, receive, invoice, record a payment — is a permission you can assign per role, so the system matches your organization's structure, not the other way round.

🧱

Shared master data foundation

Products, suppliers, and customers are managed once and reused everywhere, keeping every dealer consistent as your network scales.

📝

Tenant-defined product attributes

Size, load index, tread pattern — whatever your catalog actually needs — is configured per tenant, not hardcoded into the product form.

🔗

An AR domain built for real credit terms

Partial payments, a tenant-wide default credit period, aging, and a transparent credit score — not a bolted-on "amount due" field.

🛒

Invoicing, not an afterthought

The path from a fulfilled order to a GST-ready invoice is built in from day one — not a separate billing tool you reconcile by hand.

"The best operations system is the one your team barely notices — because it's just how the work already gets done."
— TreadChain product principle
